Recently representatives of four Karelian travel agencies have returned from Moscow where participated in the MITF - 2007 International exhibition.

Vice-mayor of Sofia Jordanka Fandakova, chairman of the state Agency for Tourism of Bulgaria Anelia Kruzhkova, the Merited Coach of the USSR and Russia on figure skating Tatyana Tarasova participated in opening of the largest tourist fair. Festival mood was supported with the music played by the Presidential orchestra.

At the fair there have been presented adventure, museum, improving and educational tourism, cruises, sanatoria, resorts, hotel service and many other things. Representatives of 80 regions of Russia and 47 countries of the world participated in it. In total there were more than one thousand participants. Greece was distinguished for grand scale and originality of its exposition which was located on 500 square meters. Greek participants have prepared a special floor covering creating impression of sea sand - take a stroll about it and feel like being in the the country of Acropolis and Zeus.

Karelian stand presented by our travel agencies attracted many visitors. Potential visitors of the republic were both interested in famous brands of Karelia, and new routes offered. The republic becomes more and more cognate and attractive.
