The IV International Hunting and Fishing 2006 trade exhibition organized by the Ministry of Economic Development of Karelia, Karelexpo company, Karelrybvod state enterprise and the Department of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Audit in the Republic of Karelia will open in Petrozavodsk on October, 6th.

The exhibition opening ceremony, which will start at 2.00 p.m. at the National Theatre of Karelia (Karl Marx street, 19) will be attended by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Karelia and Minister of Agriculture, Fish Industry and Ecology of the Republic of Karelia Vladimir Sobinsky, Minister of Economic Development of Karelia Mikhail Yurinov, mayor of Petrozavodsk Victor Maslyakov and others.

Enterprises from Petrozavodsk, Moscow, St.-Petersburg, Vologda, Nizhni Novgorod, Vorsma and other cities will take part in the exhibition. Equipment for fishing and hunting, knife blades, boats and boat engines, various devices and facilities for radionavigation, hunting and fishing tours will be presented there.

Within the scope of program of the event there will be held the exhibition opening and awarding of winners on results of the Photohunting 2006 competition.

On October, 7th within the scope of the Hunting and Fishing 2006 exhibition organizers of the traditional fishing festival Kalakunda and fishermen's competition invite all comers to try their skills in trout fishing. Competitions will pass in the mouth Lososinka river from 9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. Awards will be presented in the following takes nominations: The Best Fisherman with a Fishing Rod, The Best Fisherman with a Spinning Rod, The Most Successful Fisherwoman, The Young Fisherman, The Smallest Fish.

Hunting and Fishing 2006 exhibition is open on October 6th - from noon to 6.30 p.m., on October 7th - from 10.00 a.m. to 6.30 p.m., on October 8th - from 10.00 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. Admission free.
