The railway ststion was built in 1941 for front needs. Not far from it pomor village Njuhcha is situated. Malenga is the beginning of "Tzar`s road".
The village is situated on the river Malenge, near the border with the Arkhangelsk region, at 131 km from the district center - Belomorsk.
