Kostomuksha municipal museum

The museum was opened in 1981 and got the status of the city museum in 1991. The collection of the museum is based on the materials about the opening of Kostomuksha iron-ore deposit and the building of the ore mining and processing enterprise.

The collections of the museum:

  • the opening of Kostomuksha deposit,
  • the collection of J.V. Rugoev – a famous Karelian writer,
  • the building of the city and the ore mining enterprise,
  • the materials about partisans of the city.
