Virma

Virma is located in 35 km to the north east from Belomorsk, at the mouth of river with the same name, on the shore of the White sea. Virma – is a pomor village, known for ages. The present church of St. Peter and Paul was built in 1696. The stone foundation of the Solovetsky Monastery salt-work was found near the village (XVI-XVII centures).
