Chuinavolok

The old village of Chyinavolok is located on the north-western coast of Syamozero Lake, 18 km away from the main highway Petrozavodsk-Essoila – Suoyarvi.

At present the village has two parts – an old village with houses along the shore of the lake, and new summer cottages ("dacha"). Behind the village in a holy spruce grove there is a chapel of St. Nicholas and Elijah the Prophet (Nicola Chudotvorets and Ilya Prorok) dated back to the second half of XVIII.
