Sortavala Branch

A new branch of the Tourist Information Centre was opened in Sortavala on September 11.

Its' main objectives are the following:

• create a unified database on tourist potential of the area;
• information and consultancy support in the field of tourist activities.

The reason for opening the Information Centre branch at this location is the growing need of tourism related information and help in Sortavala.

Sortavala city is the second (after Petrozavodsk) tourist center of Karelia. From here the renown island of Valaam can be reached. However, the city itself is also very attractive for tourists. It has the status of historical city of All-Russian significance for its original architectural look and numerous architectural objects.

The branch office of the Tourist Information Centre is located in the town center. The address is Sadovaya Str, 11.
