Two happy days in fairy Karelia

Petrozavodsk + Kizhi Island + Folk Show + Waterfall Kivatch + Dramatized tasting of alcohol drinks with Peter the Great

Arrival in Petrozavodsk. Transfer from the railway station to the hotel. Accommodation (twin rooms). Breakfast.

City tour “The City of Peter the Great” (the architectural the ensemble of the Round Square (18^th century), the Governor’s Garden, the Theatre Square (4 theatres), the Onego Lake Embankment with a unique open-air museum of modern avant-garde sculpture). Photo-stop near the Monument to Peter the Great.

Departure to Kizhi Island (1 hour 15 minutes by hydrofoil) Kizhi is one of the first open-air museums and one of the most popular tourist attractions in Russia. The pearl of the museum is its world-known wooden church ensemble which is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1990.

Excursion in the Kizhi Open-Air Museum of Wooden Architecture. Visit of the functioning church of the Kizhi Architectural Ensemble and ethnographic village of the museum.

Lunch boxes. Free time. Departure to Petrozavodsk.

Traditional Karelian dinner in the first restaurant of Karelian cuisine. You will enjoy natural food from Karelian pristine forests and pure lakes.

Folk Show. You will listen to Karelian songs, see national dances and even have an opportunity to take part in Karelian games.

Free time to explore Petrozavodsk on your own and experience Karelian white night firsthand.

Breakfast.

Excursion to the Local Vodka Factory including tasting of alcohol drinks (Vodka “Karelia, “Petrovskaya”, Onezhskaya Cranberry”, “Karelian Balm”) with the following purchase of drinks you like in the store.

Departure to the out-of-town excursion “The Charm of Karelia”. You will see the second highest plain waterfall in Europe (height 10,4 m) – Kivatch Waterfall – and hear a fabulous melody of its roaring waters, visit the museum of the nature reserve and get acquainted with a unique tree of Karelia, Karelian birch.  

Lunch in the City of “Karelian Millionaires” – Kondopoga. City tour including a visit to the Ice Palace, the Culture Palace with an organ hall and the Church of the Assumption (1774) which is considered to be a real gem of Northern wooden architecture.

Dinner (national Karelian cuisine).

Free time. For additional pay:

- Visiting the Water-Sport Center “Aquatica”. (swimming pool, Finnish sauna, Turkish banya, Jacuzzi, water disco, swimming pool for kids with tube, café-bar, solarium, equipment used for physical training;

- Visiting the Severnaya Wellness Center (cosmetological and hairdresser’s services, massage, manicure, pedicure, relaxing SPA therapy, thalassotherapy, sauna and hydro massage, infra red sauna)

Transfer to the railway station.
